Islanders' Respite
Overnight accommodations, flexible meals and transportation to/from ferry or hospital if needed. For people from Penobscot Bay Islands who are:
- Visiting a patient in the hospital or nursing home
- In transit before or after treatment
- Stranded by weather or ferry schedule
- Accompanying someone to emergency room
Different rates apply; some scholarships available through Island clinics.
Pastoral care available, in-house or through referral, if requested.
On a space available basis.
Funds for overnight stays at The Guest House are available for residents of Vinalhaven who are receiving, or visiting those who are receiving, healthcare at Pen Bay or a Pen Bay partner organization.
