Heart on the Sleeve
When I want a variation on my serene morning walk along the harbor boardwalk, I detour down Tillson Avenue to the working docks. There are all kinds of things along this route that don’t have a corresponding compartment in my memory of stored images. I become more alert, more curious about what I might find that I have never seen before. For instance, boats out of water.

The $20 Day
I just had what would ordinarily be a very, very bad day. It’s Friday. I had been planning a quiet day at home, to get finances up to date, bank accounts switched from Vermont to Maine, and write a rough draft of an upcoming workshop.
